Hey, but do you have 'scratchy' version?
Over the years, I was lucky to grow up gradually on all types of animation: old Mickey, old Soviet and post-Soviet animations- Polish and Czech cartoons, Hannah Barbera-which later on became Cartoon Network, Disney and Pixar. Respectively, the whole process of the above accidentally was experienced by me due to the Polish delayed release of foreign films and cartoons. The evaluation of technology and techniques, as well as the prominence of animation studios took decades, and me being born at the right time, it gave me the opportunity to I see it within 15 years time. I loved it, and in each of these animated forms I find so much inspiration

THE RETRO CARTOONS BEFORE MICKEY
Everybody knows Disney but who knows all that has been before him? I highly recommend the following book about the early animation. It is small but it contains rare stills and graphics of the 1898-1928 cartoons.
It is unbelievable when one realizes that there were so many characters invented. Some of them may be familiar but you just haven't thought about them too much.
Betty Boop, Felix The Cat are the most probably famous ones, that are part of the marketing culture nowadays. But there are quite few more cartoons that one can appreciate for their originality and finesse . . .
